EOS at Warsaw Block on November 30th
This coming Thursday, November 30th, in Warsaw, the team behind Tokenika will be talking about EOS at a monthly blockchain event called Warsaw Block organized by Coinfirm.
The event is quite popular, this time we'll be expecting over 200 people. All presentations are conducted in English.
The title of our speech is "EOS – the next step in smart-contracts".
We will be one of the four speakers presenting that evening, each having about 40 minutes at their disposal. Here is the full agenda.
And here is a quick outline of our presentation:
- We’ll start with the concept of a decentralized app and its requirements as a business enterprise.
- We’ll talk about the processing power required by real-life businesses.
- We’ll briefly discuss scaling solutions available in the blockchain space.
- And then we’ll introduce EOS and its main features.
- We’ll showcase BitShares & Steem as two systems from which EOS originates.
- We’ll touch upon the controversy around DPOS and try to debunk the claim that it’s "not decentralized enough".
- We’ll present EOS strong & weak points.
- We’ll briefly present EOS roadmap.
- We'll compare EOS against what's required by decentralized apps.
- And finally, we’ll wrap it up with questions like "Can other systems copy EOS solutions?" or "Will EOS replace Ethereum?".
Generally, our intention is to contrast EOS against other systems (mainly Ethereum) but without depreciating what Ethereum has achieved.
