HOWEVER - There was an TOKEN EOS GOLD (EOSG) previously see here - https://etherscan.io/token/0x7b39940dbac110f1227d37c395675def270afcd7. It had a different website with a .io tag. Don't visit this website - although blank it triggers phishing alerts.

This original EOSGold also promised airdrops. The original etherscan contract has a little activity but I didn't delve into it much.

It would probably be a good idea to exercise a little caution and do some homework before registering for this airdrop.
