Token Module

The token module is responsible for making changes to the token balances of addresses by transferring tokens, applying transaction fees, minting tokens, and locking tokens for the article consensus process. The fundamental unit of account in the Everipedia Network is the IQ token which is tracked within the token module.

토큰 모듈은 토큰 잔액을 변경하는 일을 해. 토큰 잔액은 언제 변경되는데?

• 토큰을 전송할 때
• 거래 수수료가 적용될 때
• 토큰이 발행될 때
• 편집(글 작성이나 큐레이션)에 대한 보상이 집행될 때

거래 수수료가 있다는 건가? 거래수수료가 있어. 왜 그런지는 이 글을 다 읽을 때 쯤 알게 될거야.

Initial Supply & Minting Schedule

Tokens will be minted every 30 minutes through the edit process and edit curation process. There will be a fixed amount of tokens minted each day. The amount will be reset every day at 00:00 UTC.

편집에 대한 보상은 30분 마다 이루어져. 즉 30분 마다 새로운 토큰이 발행된다는 거지.
하루에 발행하는 토큰 양은 정해져 있어. 하루의 시작은 00:00 UTC를 기준으로 해.

Proposed edits pass tiered thresholds and receive IQ rewards based on votes of token holders. The first tier gets their collateral back, but no additional reward (for an explanation of collateral, see the article module). Thresholds past the first tier earn from the daily IQ reward pool. The exact thresholds and distributions for the tiers will be determined by the community as one of the first governance actions.

편집된 내용은 제안 형태로 네트워크에 제출되고 평가를 받는 거야. 토큰 보유자들은 투표를 통해 제안된 편집에 대해 평가를 하는거지.
투표로 보상을 할 때는 득표율을 고려할 수 밖에 없어. 득표율에 따른 보상 기준이 있어야 해. 보상 기준은 기준을 정하는 것이니 거버넌스 액션으로 작성될거야.
아무렇게나 글을 작성하거나 큐레이팅 하지 않도록 하려면? 글 작성이나 큐레이팅에 어느 정도의 토큰을 담보물로 맡기고, 득표율이 정해진 기준 밑으로 나오면 이것을 돌려 받을 수 없게 하는 거지.
이를 보상 기준으로 반영해 보면 담보물을 돌려 받을 수 없는 득표율 구간, 담보물은 돌려 받을 수 있는 구간, 담보물에 더해 추가적인 보상을 받을 수 있는 구간을 정해야 하겠지. 보상 비율도 득표율에 따라 차등을 주면 더 좋겠지.

At the end of the 30 minute period, editors will receive IQ rewards in proportion to the value of their contributions. An single editor’s contribution is valued based on the number and tiers of edits approved.

편집에 대한 IQ 토큰 보상은 30분 마다 이루어져. 편집자의 기여 가치에 비례해서 보상을 받게 돼. 기여 가치는 승인된 편집의 수와 득표율 구간에 기반해 계산되지.

아래 식은 30분 마다 이루어지는 보상에서 단일 편집자가 받을 수 있는 보상에 대한 계산식이야.

R = Editor’s IQ reward
Q = Mint-rate constant (available IQ reward) for IQ reward period
E = Editor’s contribution value
T = Total contribution value for the 30-minute period across all edits

매년 발행할 토큰 양이 정해져 있다고 했지 - 지금은 5%의 인플레이션.
연간 발행 비율이 정해져 있으니 30분 동안 발행해야 하는 비율도 정해지겠지. 이 비율에 따라 발행되는 토큰 양이 Q.
30분 동안에 편집자가 기여한 가치가 E, 30분 동안에 전체 편집자들이 기여한 가치가 T.
Q에 E를 곱하고 T로 나누면 한 편집자가 받게 되는 보상이 계산되겠지.

그럼 Q는 어떻게 구할까? Q는 다음 식으로 구해.

Q = F * S0
F = Mint rate for 30-minute reward period
S0 = Token Supply at Genesis

F = ((1 + A) ^ (1 / 365) - 1) / 48
A = Annual mint rate

30분(기간의) 발행량을 구하려면 먼저 30분(기간의) 발행율(F)을 구해야해. 초기 공급량(S0)에 이것을 곱하면 발행량을 구할 수 있지.
30분 발행율을 구하려면 먼저 일 발행율을 구해야해. 하루는 24시간이고 30분이 48번 이니까, 일 발행율을 48로 나누면 30분 발행율을 구할 수 있지.
발행량이 매일 재설정된다고 하면 일일 인플레이션(A)을 고려해서 일 발행율을 구해야 해.
인플레이션을 고려한 일 발행율은 ((1 + A) ^ (1 / 365) - 1)와 같이 구할 수 있지.

The annual mint rate, A, will be 5% to match the EOS inflation rate, but the number can be changed by a governance action. Additionally, the minted tokens can be partially re-allocated by a governance action for a developer fund, bounties, or any other use.

A는 EOS 인플레이션 비율과 같이 5%가 될 것이지만 거버넌스 액션에 의해 변경될 수 있어. 발행 토큰들은 부분적으로 거버넌스 액션에 의해 개발자 펀드, 포상금(bounties) 또는 다른 사용을 위해 재 할당될 수 있어.

Transaction Fees

The initial network transfer fee will be 0.1%. The fee will be sent to a null address and burnt in a verifiable manner. These numbers can be changed by the governance module. These fees only exist for transfers that are not staking or governance based actions.

전송 수수료는 초기에는 0.1%가 될거고, 거버넌스 모듈에 의해 변경될 수 있어. 수수료는 널 주소로 보내져서 검증 가능한 방식으로 소각될 거야. 수수료는 전송에만 있고, 스테이킹(staking)이나 거버넌스 액션에는 없어.

The transfer fees are designed to counteract the inflationary effects of the edit rewards. Since the transaction rate for cryptocurrencies tends to be volatile, using the transfer fees directly for edit rewards would lead to too much daily uncertainty.

전송 수수료는 편집 보상의 인플레이션 효과를 막기 위해 고안되었어.
암호화폐의 거래비율은 변동이 심하기 때문에 편집 보상에 직접적으로 전송 수수료를 사용하면 일일 불확실성이 너무 커지게 되겠지.

The community should set the transfer fee at a rate where the moving average of the daily burn rate approximately matches the stable inflation rate from edit rewards. The usable token supply will be virtually hard-capped though day-to-day fluctuations will exist.

커뮤니티는 전송 수수료를 '일 소각율의 이동 평균'이 '편집 보상의 안정된 인플레이션율'과 거의 일치되도록 설정해야 해. 매일 매일의 변동은 있겠지만 사용가능한 토큰 공급은 가상적으로 하드캡된 것과 같을 거야.

A large percentage of token transfers in existing blockchain networks take place for the purpose of speculation. Under most current systems, the economic value of this speculation is captured by the speculators, not the network.

기존 블록체인 네트워크에서 토큰 전송의 높은 비중을 투기목적이 차지해. 대부분의 현행 시스템들에서 이러한 투기의 경제적 가치는 네트워크가 아니라 투기꾼들의 차지가 되버려.

The transfer fee model we propose will allow the network to benefit from market speculation. Since only non-governance, non-staking transfers incur a fee, the speculators are, in a way, funding the development of the Everipedia Network.

여기에서 제안하는 전송 수수료 모델은 투기로 부터 네트워크가 이익을 얻을 수 있게 해 주지. 거버넌스나 스테이킹이 아닌것에만 수수료를 부과하니까 투기꾼들도 에브리피디아 개발에 자금을 지원하는 꼴이 되는거야. 머리 잘 썼지?

The transfer fee can be burned to create a deflationary supply, used to fund network development, or used to further economic activity on the platform. Either way, a portion of the speculative activity’s value will be captured and allocated by the network.

전송 수수료는 인플레이션 효과를 막기 위해 소각되거나, 네트워크 개발 자금으로 사용되거나, 플랫폼에서의 경제적 활동을 위해 사용될 수 있어. 어느 쪽이든, 투기 활동의 일부 가치는 네트워크로 돌아가게 되지.

The EOS main network has a 1% trading fee on RAM. This unique fee in the EOS network is used to both offset inflation, monetize the speculation inherent in the scarce resources of the EOS network, as well as create allocative efficiency by bringing market dynamics to the main network. We propose a similar fee on the scarce resource of the Everipedia Network, the IQ token.

전송 수수료를 부여하는 것은 EOS 메인넷에서 RAM 거래에 1% 수수료를 부여하는 이유와 거의 같아.
