But you didn't solve the problem. You will award people with more materials? What the game needs is a way to destroy the supply of items so there will be incentive to buy even the rare materials again.

I don't know if you remember, but games like Lineage 2 fixed the supply problem by giving people a possibility to enchant their items. With another and another enchant there was bigger and bigger chance that the enchant will fail and item will be destroyed. It was still worth it to do because you got the glow (on the weapons) + nice stat bonuses.
