What does server_version mean in EOS blockchain

When you run the command cleos get infoyou can get the info from EOS blockchain:

  ...

}

There is a field server_version, the value is 90fefdd1, this is the hash value of the commit which current code is on. How to verify? Go to https://github.com/EOSIO/eos then paste the hash value 90fefdd1 to the search box on top of the page, then you will find the commit under the commit category from left side menu.
