EOS price is quite volatile, and that's not a good thing

in #eos6 years ago

EOS is one of the most volatile assets in the top 5 cryptos. Its volatility makes it more profitable for experienced traders to make money. Also, poor trades will lead to loss of money. It goes both ways.

But such high volatility is not desirable. One reason or the main reason behind this volatility is EOS distribution. The top 100 EOS accounts own about 75% of the tokens (including exchange accounts). Whenever these guys trade the token, the price shows a noticeable jump or dump.

This level of volatility makes it hard for commercial adoption. If a merchant accepts EOS as a payment method, he would have a hard time setting the correct price for the product or service he sells. In order to ensure that he doesn't loss money, he would most likely set a high price. This will make buying stuff with EOS costlier. I hope EOS will improve distribution with the 5% inflation of the token.

it would be best if everyone had an equal chance!
