EOS mainnet: This weekend might be crypto-history

This weekend might be crypto-history. EOS will release its software this weekend. EOS tokens will become frozen on the Ethereum blockchain on June 2 and hopefully the EOS mainnet will launch shortly after.

There has been a lot of hype and high expectations about EOS since the record breaking, huge ICO, raising a reported $4 billion.

But wait, you might say, EOS been around for a while now? What people have been traded as EOS so far has been ERC-20 tokens on the ethereum platform and once the EOS mainnet is up and running with enough holders accepting a chain, EOS will hopefully stand on its own feet, parting from ethereum and killing the EOS ERC20 tokens, like a snake shedding its old ERC-skin :)

Since there has been so much anticipation for this, I hope this transition will go smooth, and I hope it will be beneficial for the whole crypto-community.

I keep my fingers crossed, and Im making popcorn.
