do not click on links that you have not researched yourself

Thanks for sharing, but folks need to be aware of links they are clicking.

Clicking on links isn´t a security problem (nothing will happen if you click on a link except that maybe someone will find out your ip).
What really matters is what someone does on a website, if you download something, log into something or share data, you should better know you are on the right website.

Not everyone understands that a box can pop up and they should just shut the internet off by short keys.

This community is more diverse. More than we geeks participate here.

:) I agree... however, not everyone can. and Not everyone even understands the concept.

Always check on the top left if it states secure (when your are visiting a known site like facebook, amazon, ...)

The most common attack is rebuilding a website so it looks like an original an then trying to get people to sign in this fake website. Browsers are developed so they block any bad intent right away (downloading files, starting flash or orther plugins)

I actually had a worm attempt on a good website the other day... pop up looked real. It is creepy what folks try to get away with.
