HelloEOS × EOS Authority | Hello Media

Hi, we are "HelloMedia". HelloMedia is a Chinese language media platform under HelloEOS which is an EOS block producer. Devoting to become a media deep in serving the EOS ecosystem participants, we will continue to interview those outstanding teams in EOS ecosystem, including BPs, DApp developers, investors, eco-platforms and media. Also, we provide a multimedia platform for those excellent EOS eco builders who contribute to the developing the EOS ecosystem to showcase themselves in video and text.

EOS Authority is based in London, UK. They are a group of developers who are very enthusiastic about the possibilities of EOS. The core team used to work on Ethereum and quickly found that it was not suitable for developing large scale popular dapps. They saw the huge potential where EOS can be the first actually useable blockchain platform. This made them very interested in EOS and they decided to be a BP and support the platform.

EOS Authority: We are very happy with the alerts system as it helped several people save their EOS from being stolen. We had several people who setup different active, owner key and also voted. Then they got their active key stolen but they were able to get the alert on unstaking and then change their active key before their funds were stolen.

HelloEOS:As a BP, how did you help Dapp developers? Do you have a plan for Dapp development in the future?
EOS Authority:Yes, we still continue to develop tools and dapps like we always have done in the past. Most of the dapps like alerts, registration check, approvals etc are what the community requested. So we are still listening carefully to the community and developing relevant tools as quickly as possible.

HelloEOS:Can you talk about any obstacle you met when communicating with the Mandarin community and solutions? Do you have any plan to disseminate your team in the Mandarin community in the future?
EOS Authority:I feel it is very hard to reach the Chinese community for us. Most of the Chinese community are not available in the normal channels used in the English speaking countries. Also, it looks like telegram might not be that popular. We have https://eosauthority.com/alerts which supports email. Also, the telegram bot now supports Chinese & Korean languages.

HelloEOS:Recently, people in community questioned the way of Block One of fixing bugs temporarily . Could you talk about your opinions?
EOS Authority:EOS is a developing platform at very early stages. It is hard to predict how the changes will affect users & dapp developers. The quick & temporary solutions are important to test out if a particular idea will work.

HelloEOS:What do you think about the introduction of RAM mechanism into the CPU proposed by Daniel ?
EOS Authority:The REX idea with exchange sounds good when you consider all the components. So CPU, NET can be purchased by dapp developers at a per month cost. This make dapp have predictable and cheaper to run. Also, if all the fees are given to staked holders then that will give additional incentive for people to use the platform.

HelloEOS:Will you talk about your plan in the next phase?
EOS Authority:Our next phase is to try and educate as many people possible on developing interesting dapps. We are also hiring a team of programmers to help dapp developers build interesting applications. Along with education we will also fund dapps to help them.

HelloEOS:Finally, do you want to say anything to the Chinese community? In other words, could you give us some reasons about why to vote for EOS Authority?
EOS Authority:Other reasons to vote for EOS Authority

a) EOS Authority is the top BP by number of voters. Currently we have around 12,093 voters and that makes us the community favorite BP. Our tools and services are loved by several people and used by a lot of EOS holders.

b) We saved $10 million worth of EOS from being stolen. We worked with Dan Larimer and Sean Mitchell at Block.one to achieve a code fix the very next day of identifying the issue. This highlights our transparency, integrity and honesty. We will continue to be vigilant on behalf of our users in a block producing position.

HelloEOS: We would like to know your first impression to the group of Chinese BPs. And what do you think about the Chinese BPs and community？
EOS Authority:We think the Chinese BPs are doing a great job to help educate and introduce EOS to the Chinese community.
