Boid’s connection to BOINC is Gridcoin. So, when users mine with boid, they are actually contributing to BOINC through Gridcoin.

So, this is the answer to all the riddles! Boid is not a copy but another gateway to the same BOINC's projects.
Thank you for the link. I'm with Byteballs now but it's always good to have more options to choose:)
