A report about EOS Cocos values and participation route
EOS Cocos values
In 2014, Cocos parent company Chukong Technology presented Cocos enterprise values in the prospectus as follows: Cocos’ mission is to a) promote, maintain and support the global mobile game developing ecosystem; b) increase efficiency and reduce development costs for developers; and c) support more quality developers to develop high quality game products through high quality engine and tools.
After ten years of development, Cocos game engine and its developing tool suite have evolved from the original engine interface based on the rendering interface of the iOS platform to a complete game development environment with the function of: a) fully integrated game development workflow; b) data-driven developing mode; and c) adaptability to various developing languages, technology and OS platform. Moreover, Cocos has made achievements in the field of 3D, H5, VR and AR along with successful commercial products, which have been launched and operated successfully. In the market, the annual sales of single product exceed 100 million dollars.
According to statistics from iOS and Android native application market, more than 20% of new global online game products in 2017 were developed by Cocos. Cocos game engine has the largest market share in China, Japan, India, Southeast Asia and South America. 30% of top 1000 games of the global income rankings developed by Cocos (see below picture).

There are so many companies in the word who develop their core products by using Cocos engine and tool such as: a) ‘Journey to the West’, ‘Fantasy Westward Journey’ and ‘Onmyoji’ launched by NetEase, who is the most profitable game enterprise in China; b) ‘The King Of Fighters 98’ and ‘Legend of Mir II’ launched by Tencent; c) ‘Monster strike’ and ‘Brave Frontier’ launched by the Japanese company MIXI; d) the Korean companies Gamevil and CJ; and (e) the US company Bigfish. (see below picture)

By the end of January in 2018, more than 5000 games were simultaneously developed by Cocos engine and more than 1000 tiny games were developed at the same time. Among the 17 first-batch WeChat tiny games, 9 of them were developed by Cocos engine, accounting for 47%. Facebook officially opened the Instant Games platform on March 14, 2018 (US time). Chinese companies launched 24 games on the platform for the first batch, and 13 of them were developed by Cocos engine, accounting for over 50%.
In the past ten years, Cocos engine has not only been in the leading position of the industry, but also become a comprehensive software ecosystem server to provide: a) completed tool and development environment for developers, including data analysis and advertising management; b) cross-platform output and submission into WeChat, Facebook and other platforms; and c) multi industries expansion in the fields of games, education, and hardware interaction.
Cocos engine matches perfectly with iOS, Android, H5, PC Windows and MAC OS systems, which focus on mobile native apps and H5 apps, providing three types of programming language interfaces – C++, Lua and JavaScript. At the same time, Cocos provides graphics rendering, GUI, audio, network, physics, user input and other functions, which make the idea of ‘One development, multi-end release’ comes true. ANYSDK, the engine component tool, provides a set of third party SDK access solutions for game developers to save a great number of game CP time costs. Cocos not only provides developers with various functions required for the access to channels, such as Channel SDK, user systems, payment systems, advertising systems, statistical systems and sharing systems, but can also release 514 channels at one click. Cocos Runtime even becomes the standard setter of the tiny game industry development. Cocos developing tools also provide SDKBOX-based data and advertising services which can automatically and efficiently integrate into the services required for overseas distribution. The tools become a bridge between developers and service providers. They can also detect and monitor SDK service data through systematization method, and identify and analyze player behavior in-depth data to further optimize the advertising effect.
In 2018, Cocos has more than 1.1 million global developers, including 300,000+ monthly active users. Nearly 100,000 developers have been long-term active participants in the forum to report the problems they have encountered, to join the discussions, and to help and guide other developers. In addition, there are more than 1,000 enthusiastic developers contributing code, documentation and tutorial books to Cocos on GitHub. Since the inception of the CocoaChina Forum in 2008, Cocos has not only been investing in research and development of technical resources such as engines and tools, but also hosted the Cocos Developers Conference for 12 consecutive sessions. Cocos has invested in the development of education and training around the world, which cultivated and delivered many talents for the industry.

The Second Developers Conference of CocoaChina
On September 11, 2010, 400 developers participated in the conference, and more than 10 of them established companies later with valuations or withdrawals exceeding CNY 1 billion.

2014 CocoaChina Spring Developers Conference
About 2000 developers participated in the conference. Ricardo, a famous author of Microsoft, Intel and Cocos2D-iPhone delivered a keynote speech (see above picture).
Developers Conferences/Seminars/ChinaJoy/Publications(selected pictures)
In the spring of 2018, Cocos successfully held the twelfth developers conference (Cocos Blockchain Game Technology Conference). During the conference, Cocos demonstrated the whole process of complying, releasing and running the blockchain games based on the Cocos engine on the Cocos chain, as well as the whole process of storing and trading the game props out of the game before returning from the chain to the game while equipping the weaponry and consuming the bombs. It also released the Cocos-BCX (Cocos Block Chain Expedition) platform, which is an intuitive and predictable blockchain development environment and tool. The Cocos-BCX platform creates a complete and easy-to-use blockchain game infrastructure development environment, including off-chain visual development kits and the on-chain eco-environment.
As a long-term organizer, maintainer and promoter of the developer ecology, the EOS Cocos campaign team will provide a comprehensive developer-supported ecosystem since its participation in the BP election. With its ability to understand the vast ecosystem of developers and its rich service experiences, EOS Cocos will bring more traditional application developers into the development ecosystem of EOS. We will disseminate the ideas of the EOS ecosystem to more developers, databases and practical implementation through teaching and learning sessions, technical salons, lectures, developer promotion activities, forums and clubs.
In accordance with the concept of technology sharing and value adding, we will continue to encourage developers to develop more practical development tools and applications based on the EOS platform. They will in turn gradually benefit from EOS and realize the actual function of EOS as an operating system on the blockchain.
