Have been experimenting with EOS technology since early 2017 and recently running BP nodes in multiple testnets spawned by a community (EOS.IO Testnet Developers).
Contributing code into EOS Wallet project to solve problem of secure Wallet key management and delegation for any crypto wallet, effectively making EOS Wallet a "LastPass on Blockchain": SES.Network

Primary BP hardware currently:
Enterprise Dell PowerEdge R710 8 Core 64GB with 9TB Storage
Hosted on backbone Internet line in Bluffdale, UT in secure server farm facility provided by Syptec.
Prelaunch hardware plans (subject to change):
Scale up server to 2TB RAM, provide equivalent backup server and load balancer between the two.
Move block signing functionality into a separate secure server accessible by two servers but not exposed to Internet connection.
Upgrade connection to unlimited 10GB line
Provide additional Data Storage server (exact capacity to be determined later based on testnet results).
Ongoing Scaling
We will constantly spend a portion of block rewards into upgrading of our hardware infrastructure including establishing backup nodes at different geographical locations and jurisdictions.
Use of Rewards
We intend to provide full transparency to our operations and pay portion of rewards back into community by establishing a common pool of funds where each BP will voluntarily contribute portion of his rewards to be used for funding EOS based projects that will add value to EOS ecosystem.
