EOS Network Foundation’s Yield+ meets Defibox BOX token — a DeFi match made in heaven!

As you can guess from Vitalik’s excitement, something new is happening in the EOS world!

EOS Network Foundation is rebooting the EOS Network as no one could have imagined. EOS now has leadership, strength, funds, and excitement to distribute to whoever wants it!

One of the goals at the EOS Foundation is to make EOS the home of DeFi 3.0, how can EOS make this a reality? Yield+ is the answer.

The EOS Yield+ Blue Paper outlines how to make EOS a more competitive and attractive platform for DeFi applications, builders, and users. (See more about Yield+ TVL calculation system in the at the end of this article)

Yield+ is a liquidity incentive program that was inspired by the most successful DeFi stimulus initiatives of the field.

The way Yield+ works is pretty straight-forward:

Be a DeFi project on EOS
Apply to the program
Based on TVL, receive rewards paid in EOS.
That’s it.
Many EOS DeFi projects have already applied and are using the rewards to improve their brand, pay developers and so on…

If you think this is not enough, think twice, one of the added Yield+ key features is to give EOS DeFI projects the ability to share a large slice of funds with users to increase their yield!

Currently eleven EOS DeFi Dapps joined Yield+ and Defibox is leading the way.

If you don’t know Defibox yet, here is a quick recap on how you can get BOX rewards from all its services:

Danchor USN stablecoin generation
Get BOX reward by adding liquidity on designated USN related liquidity pools. USN generation, formerly known as Danchor, is a way to obtain BOX tokens.
Liquidity Pools
Get BOX reward by adding funds to pools that are used by the Swap service. Liquidity Pool token (LP) are distributed proportionally to users based on their participation. The more LP token the more fees a user receives.
Swap service
Get BOX reward while converting a token into another
Lending Service
Get BOX reward by depositing funds to lend or even by borrowing some. When you deposit your LP Tokens, you can still enjoy the BOX mining reward for LP in Swap too.
As you can see, you can farm BOX tokens by providing liquidity to or using Defibox’ services as USN, Pools, Swap or Lend.

Here is another way, probably the best one since will let you get also Yield+ rewards:

The BOX Saving System
Get BOX token reward by securing your capital locking it, farm more BOX and get your slice of Yield+. This service is Defibox’s BOX Saving System (BSS)

Until now you could earn BOX tokens by locking them for a period of 90 or 360 days with very profitable APY, even compounded. Now, through this very same system an interesting amount of funds from the Yield+ initiative are about to get distributed to users. We have to wait just a little longer for more news from the tireless members of the Defibox board but it will be worth the wait!

More on the Yield+ TVL calculation system:

The EOS rewards for the liquidity mining program will be distributed in three stages: Launch, Support, and Accelerate .

Launch and Support stages have an approximation of 625K EOS being distributed per quarter and the Accelerate stage has a quarterly distribution of 2.5M EOS.

In the first Launch stage, only the assets of $EOS and $USDT ( Tether ) are included in the TVL calculation. In the next stage, the team will evaluate other tokens such as large marketcap, bridged native assets (ex: Ethereum, Bitcoin with pTokens network), overcollateralized, native EOS, algorithmic stablecoins (ex: USN with Defibox ), and other native tokens supported in the upcoming EOS EVM.
