What I can say (I am a blogger not an advisor) is that EOS is built on a very promising dapp platform. It can't be sure if it will kill all other platforms, but what is sure is its founder has more "dapp" experience than everyone else. He started Bitshares and Steemit and another blockchain dapp for risk's sake.
Is EOS sustainable?
EOS is built on Ethereum and because of its strategy, EOS seems like a much more interesting investment compared to other coins! The offering is spread out so less frenzy and for each period the coin is offered to buyers auction style, meaning all purchasers during that period get the same price.

I heard a lot of speculation, EOS could be the ETH killer. How is this possible if its based on ETH?
Correction: you purchase EOS using ETH. It is built on its own blockchain and is indeed an Etherium contender
As I understand it Larimer graphene blockchains are not exactly decentralized. You can easily buy a stake in it to vote or be a witness if you have enough money. The reason for the EOS tokes being released for a year was to try and stop whales eating up all the network to make it centralized like has happened with Steem. I don't think that this will work though and if the tech works as they claim, large corporate interests will take over the whole system very easily and screw everyone.
