Cardano vs EOS...Which Side Are You On?

in #eos7 years ago

I wanted to put together a quick post on Cardano vs EOS.

The both are a general purpose token. This is very interesting to me considering that all types of enterprises can be built on top of both of them. They really aren't looking to specialize or go niche like Steem.

What makes them uniquely different? Here's the way I understand it...

Cardano at its core will be governed by majority rule. This is like a democracy. If 51 of 100 people want something, then they get it.

EOS at its core will be governed by a equally weighted distributed voting ring. This is analogous to the electoral college here in the US. This is what the founding fathers of the US put into place to prevent a majority rule and a democracy from governing.

Essentially, if Cardano rules applied to the past election, then Hillary would have been president. Sense EOS rules applied Trump was elected.

Please don't hammer me too hard by drawing these comparisons, but I did kinda put it together like this today.

What do you think? Are the future of successful crypto currencies going to come down to the most viable form of government? It's looking like that from where I'm sitting.

Which type of governance do you like better? Cardano or EOS

I agree! I have to go with EOS long-term!

Cardano has a long roadmap ahead for scaling so it will take a while to get to market.

Eos is out in June and will include a constitution and an arbitration system. That together with over one billion raised from the token distribution being reinvested into applications on the platform, everipedia being the first one, I think Eos is almost in a different category.

But nonetheless I am interested to see how cardano develops with all those universities contributing!

Not sure that either chain would have elected anyone though aside from block producers!
