BEWARE of EOS Pretender E-mails Regarding the AIRDROP - FAKE & FRAUD AIRDROP EMAILS
Frank received an e-mail in his Spam folder regarding the Eos Airdrop. The E-mail looked authentic enough. When he hovers on the link, it's not the EOS.io website name.
Out of curiosity, he clicked the link in the e-mail and was redirected to a page that looks EXACTLY like the eos.io and it looks authentic, it has all the logos and it the same images. These guys really took the time to work on their fraud big time.
The website is NOT eos.io however, it's eos.com, with something strange under the "e". They claim the air drop involved 1 EOS token for every token you already own and 30 tokens for every ETH you own, which is NOT what the air drop entails. If your EOS are already registered properly, then you should receive whatever you are to receive automatically. No need to click anywhere or do anything else and usually it's when you own a lot that you get some sort of air drop. I don't know the full details of the upcoming EOS air drops but I know it's not what that fake site claims.
Furthermore, they tell you to go to MyEtherWallet and probably have a legit looking site that is also fake. And then when you enter you info, that's when they fraud you out of your EOS and ETH.
I have taken screenshots of the e-mail and of the site it sends you to so that you can see for yourself.
Do not be fooled by these fraudulent e-mails! Do not click on those links or give out your ETH wallets to those fake sites. EOS.COM IS NOT EOS.IO!
