EOS breaks blockchain transaction record!

This image was taken from blocktivity.info. They provide a great service and a look into the other side of blockchain valuation - usability and capacity.

The EOS network broke the record for number of transactions in a day yesterday with 7.2 million transactions. This is big news and is likely only the beginning for the EOS blockchain as it is still so new. As more apps get built and begin to get used on the blockchain the amount of transactions we could see in the coming months could be staggering.

What I like to see, is that the top 3 coins (consistently, with no contest) are always Steem, Bitshares and EOS. What do those 3 coins have in common. Dan Larimer. The graphene blockchains (which Golos would also be as it is a copy and paste version of steem) are capable of doing a very large number of transactions very quickly.

That is a very different picture than looking at the top 3 coins based on market cap. BTC, ETH and XRP. ETH is pretty well at capacity with the number of transactions it can do a day. BTC is well on its way to capacity as well. I don't know too much about ripple and don't see it on this list so I will not comment on it.

If you look at t he AVI column, that shows a correlation to market cap and number of transactions. You can see how valuable steem and bitshares are based on market cap vs how many transactions they do. I have heard people say that EOS is overvalued. I beg to differ... in my opinion EOS is the only one of the 3 Dan coins that is close to value, but still could be undervalued based on the number of transactions it can do, has done and is capable of.
