Aliens' Misconceptions- The blue and green planet

in #eos7 years ago

“We are just two days away from our destination, the planet Buzo!” Bob tells us cheerfully.
Nob: “Yeah! I hope we have enough food supplies.”
“I have checked”, I reply matter-of-factly, “The supplies are enough”
(Our conversation gets interrupted by the flight engineer’s voice)
Cockpit Engineer: “Dear team, it is sad to announce that our flight is getting slower and slower, this might result in fire.”
“It’s Tob here. Will this fire occur within the next two days?” I could hear the alarm in my own voice, “And where
exactly are we?”
Cockpit Engineer: “There has been severe damage in the cooling system; we can only sustain it for few hours.
Currently we are over a green and blue planet. Further details are coming.”
Me: Green and blue. Okay.
(After 10 minutes silence)
Cockpit Engineer: We are over planet, The Earth. We have never been here. It’s a human planet.
Currently we are over the location designated as Pakistan.
(Bob, Nob, Stob and I were struck dumb by the gravity of the situation)
Cockpit Engineer: We have no other option than to land here.
I finally found the courage to speak, “but we shouldn’t!
The humans are not good here. There is terrorism everywhere. They would rob us of everything!”
Nob: “They can finish us in minutes. They are known as the worst people. Humanity is dead here.
Terrorists just kill non-Pakistanis every other day. Count-down starts to our end.”
Bob: “Cockpit, don’t we have any better option?”
Cockpit Engineer: “Sorry sir, but we have to land here.”
Me: “But can’t we try to go to some other location? Can’t we?”
Cockpit Engineer: “I am afraid not. We must land. Buckle up yourselves.”
“We’ll be landing in 5-4-3-2-1-0”
“Don’t look odd on earth. Stay calm, in a group and wait for the next orders.”

From the window, we saw them. They were staring with complete silence. Few of them were talking amongst
themselves, probably planning to get rid of us. Nobody amongst us dared to open the door to be the first one to land on planet earth and that too on its
worst known place. I volunteered. A hush fell over everyone. In the next few seconds we were all outside.
They started moving back a little. Then one of them moved forward. He looked confused and so was I.
He broke the silence with greetings. Other people from both the sides didn’t move an inch. I shared complete
details with that guy.
He shouted to his people in native language saying something like these people happen to be from some
other planet and won’t harm humans. Surely we were not here to harm them. People started running towards
us which made me think that maybe I had misinterpreted his message. People came closer and closer and
moved their empty hands towards us. This happened to be their way of greetings.
It was late. We were taken to some home. I could still feel the whispers around. Kids were making fun of us.
Ladies calling their far friends and telling the whole story. In a moment of minutes we were all over the global media.
Some countries started investigating our existence on earth. One of the families left their fully decorated house
empty for our stay. Still we were doubtful as to their intentions. However, they shared with us their food, time
and stories. People in that remote area seemed to be poor but they had big hearts…
We requested them to keep global media away from us and they did so to their best with not a single
communication the whole night.
The very next morning we were presented with native food. Stob was worried and didn’t take even a single
loaf of bread but the others enjoyed to their full. They had to bake some sweets for Stob.
After sometime spent enjoying with them I realized I could read their brains. Some were feeling enthusiastic,
some were afraid of international agencies and governments, few thought they might be feeding us with wrong
food and felt odd to ask us about our alien food.
They took our plane for repairs and told that we had to stay for over a week on earth to get it fixed. Being
left with no other option, we agreed. The very next day unfortunately an international TV channel anchor
person approached us and started questioning us.
Some Pakistanis thought that they won’t handover us to anyone else and tried their best to do so.
The third morning after breakfast (Stob had started enjoying spicy Pakistani food), we were requested to
get ready for a surprise. They told us we were in some remote areas of Lahore city and we were being taken
somewhere else. They didn’t know that their surprise was worth nothing as we had already read their mind.
They were taking us to some place, they called Northern areas. Green lush gardens, fountains, mountains,
folk music, cultural dances, chirping birds and everything merged to create a soothing effect. Northern areas
blessed us with the feeling to walk in clouds and it was the very first time for us to experience this level of cold.
Wherever we went we were treated like family guests with variety of food items though they never bothered
asking us about the things we used to eat. We spent two of the most memorable days there and then we were
back to Lahore.
It was some sort of an extra-ordinary triumph for the people of Pakistan that two of their major festivals, their Independence Day and a
religious event named Eid happened, happened to be on same day, 14th August. Whole Lahore wherever
we could go was covered with green flags and paintings. Green being their national color, as told by them.
They were real patriots, their brains explicitly opened the thoughts they never expressed it with us.
On that day few brains considered their body ready to be sacrificed for their country, even old were brave
enough to sacrifice their children on that path. Before that day we had no rough idea about Eid.
We then realized it was Islamic Republic of Pakistan and this was their biggest religious event.
Families used to visit each other, had enjoyable gatherings and scrumptious food was prepared for guests.
It was morning of the sixth day; we were taken to some marriage ceremony where the best part happened
to be a cultural dance with folk music in native rather decorative dresses.
Everybody maintained a smile on their face, shared a few words with us and we came back.
I noticed that the brain of a young man thought, ‘Though their plane is ready, but we should still not let them
go without gifts and stuff. It’s already late and I should tell them the good news in the morning after
I manage something to present them with.”
He went out brought some gifts, wrapped them and early in the morning handed-over to us with the news
that we were ready to go. When we were entering the door of our plane, we were reading brains that
were full of feelings and best wishes for us, unexpressed.
As the journey started, Bob broke the silence and said, “How off beam were we, they were nice people,
God bless them.”

It’s been 8 years since that event happened. Now whenever we pass over the earth we stay in Pakistan.
Last year my whole family had summer vacations with them. Those people are peppy yet humble and affectionate.
Long live Pakistan! Long live the Pakistanis!
