A Dutch Earned $120,000 in Bounties in Just One Week from EOS after He Found Several Bugs and Security Vulnerabilities of the Platform
If you have some pentesting skills you can make serious money out of finding bugs and security vulnerabilities in famous cryptocurrencies and blockchain networks. Recently such a computer geek earned $120,000 in just one week by finding bugs and security vulnerabilities of some of the world's most famous blockchain based platform, EOS.
The $120,000 bounty that EOS pays for such sneaky minds finding bugs in its network goes to a Dutch. Guido Vranken is the hard working computer guy from The Netherlands who managed to take EOS bounty money in just one week of work by finding several vulnerabilities in the famous blockchain network, as he revealed on twitter.
"Thank you. A couple more waiting to be rewarded. I think the final tally was $120K but I lost count. Took me about a week."
Guido Vranken, on twitter, June 4, 2018
Not only that EOS pays a good amount of money to Guido Vranken for detecting the EOS bugs, but they also offered him a job at the company after seeing that he's got a "good eye."
According to HackerOne the Dutch has already cashed out $90,000 from Block.one, the parent company of EOS, by finding nine bugs. Guido Vranken said in an interview for thenextweb that he has 11 confirmed bugs found in the EOS network from last week and that he estimates $120,000 will be the amount of money he will receive from EOS. He is confident though that he's not done yet with the network.
This guy has found bugs on other famous blockchanin networks also, such as Ripple, Stellar Lumens and Ethereum so he's not new in the blockchain bug finder niche. EOS on the other hand hasn't been seen with good eyes lately after "raising $4 billion in a year-long initial coin offering (ICO)" and "lacking in product development" according to its critics.
"EOS is a software startup that doesn’t plan to sell any software.”
John Oliver, host of the famous TV Show Last Week Tonight
