🐱 ETH Killed by Kittens? My 3rd DPOS MEME Challenge Entry! CryptoKitties

3rd Entry

My third entry is very straight forward. I used my favorite Kitty "Splotches" to poke fun the headache he and the thousands of other virtual kitties caused on the ETH Network.

📢 Have you heard the news?

The Ethereum network was brought to its knees a few days ago when a popular DApp called "CryptoKitties" required ETH to handle what should have been a reasonable number of transactions.

💬 So why all the fuss?

Well, the backers of Ethereum continuously preach about its flexibility and scalability as they try to defend their thrown as the smart contract blockchain king in the face of EOS development and breakthroughs.

As @officialfuzzy recently stated in his MEME challenge post:

In fact, STEEM and BitShares each regularly process the transaction volume required by Cryptokitties on a near daily basis. Adding to the pain of this situation, the number of transactions that stalled Ethereum represents LESS THAN 1% of the network capacity of each BitShares and STEEM.

And what better date could this have occurred than on the very day EOS launched the Dawn 2 public TestnNet!

😂 Twist of Humor

The various EOS Telegram channels have all been buzzing over this EPIC ETH FAIL and even challenging the creators of "CryptoKitties" to port the DApp over to the EOS TestNet and final platform once completed next year. There has even been talks of people creating a clone of the DApp themselves on EOS just to prove the point.

Well, I couldn't pass up the chance to make a funny kitty MEME for @officialfuzzy DPOS MEME Challenge.

That apparently the chain of blocks lacks more capacity to endure something as heavy as the kittens were in their boom, it hurts that they do not continue to grow in price as they once were, at least now I can aspire to have a cat I had thought that I would not have the opportunity to never have one.

Those cats literally exploit the network

this is so good man. lol

Thank you! 😁 Simple and to the point.

These systems are not designed to handle junk transactions and people are trying to use it for it instead. ETH handles about 3x the amount of transactions as BTC and even if you ran it on a system like steem it would still bog down. These block chains are not designed to handle millions of micro transactions and if your going to do something like that then learn to program it.

That's what they said about email 25 years ago.

PoW cannot, but DPoS is built for large volumes of transactions big and small. That has been Dan's point from the beginning. The STEEM blockchain IS handling upwards of a million little transactions per day, that's what all our upvotes are.

You need to look at my follow-up post on the ETH network activity from this single DApp vs what STEEM is capable of handling. STEEM does the same number of transactions per day (most days more) at only 0.32% network capacity when ETH is maxed at 100% with a backlog of unconfirmed.

The era of ethereum has gone now. Let's see EOS will rule or some other blockchain will come to fill the place.

i like your ideas. i need your upvotes in return
