summary, iq token sharedrop explained and quotes.

00:59 Tha boss 2.0 intro ;)

I'm not somebody who likes to go out and go to a bunch of conferences and spend a bunch of money on those things. I like to funnel the money that I do earn in the crypto ecosystem to build tools that help everybody. So most of the stuff that we do here is out of pocket, but it's because we believe in what we're doing.

Instead of having an ICO we are, for the very first time, air-dropping IQ tokens to the EOS distribution list and what that means is, if you hold EOS tokens you will get IQ tokens and that's the only way to get IQ tokens, by holding EOS tokens from the ICO.

The contest just proves to you how much value everybody has. It's the people who are creating these things that have value, everything else is just subjective value based on what we choose it to be, but the real value is in the people.

If you're not an artist, you can still help spread the word with "Tokens for Tweets" for example.

32:18 Are the IQ tokens going to be distributed on the Ethereum wallet?

Nutela (me): It's not entirely clear but since IQ's are going to start to exist when EOS tokens exist (remember it's still ERC20 tokens for now) it makes sense to start distributing them near or after the end of the EOS ICO. The EOS ICO works like this:

  • you buy tokens by sending Ethereum to eos.io's address.
  • you can register an EOS key where your EOS tokens will be send which you bought during the ICO. Each day there are 20 million more released.
  • You can also transfer your EOS/ERC20 tokens right now. But you have to claim them first. I did this and traded open.eos on BitShares. So I'm not holding some of my EOS/ERC20 tokens anymore this might mean I don't get as many IQ's eventhough block.one/eos.io knows I bought them since I paid them with Ethereum.
  • If you have questions let me know I'll walk you through it or make a video so please use the comment section.

38:26 EOSbits the relationship to EOS

I want to make it so we can get sponsors essentially DAP sponsors that will accept. It won't be necessarily for every service, but I believe that there will be a use case for them based on the storage in the network, but even if it doesn't turn out that way. Because storage isn't quite done yet and I'm trying to be completely honest.

I like it your trying to be completely honest...
Thanks for your shared..
Success is for you @nutela...

How would you know? ;)

Yes this is exactly what I was trying to find out yesterday during the show. So now I have Eos in Exodus, but this doesnt count as registered tokens, right? Corrent me now if Im wrong: so suggested to do (as it is now on the ERC20) ...send ethereum from for instance myetherwallet to the adres for get Eoscoins in myetherwallet. Register the coins afterwards. Only then I will be included in the airdrop of say IQ?

I really am trying to get in the Eos game in a proper manner. Because it is too good to do it halfway

Why don't you buy EOS from the ICO? It's a) cheaper and b) you can hold it. I used the guide on eos.io what you do then is that you use Chrome and Metamask since it will work together with the eos.io website. You should have bought yesterday however, dirt cheap since the market essentially crashed really hard.

Then you have to claim the tokens before you can transfer them anywhere else (for example to trade them on BitShares, I sold part of them for $17 a few days ago just before the market crashed).

I think I will do a whole video by also claiming and transferring those tokens to BitShares.

Yeah everything in this whole week is 'I should have 'hahaha. So what would you suggest? Send over my exodus-Eos through an exchange to ethereum myetherwallet.. and buy from there?

Im gonna watch these tutorials later on.. and wait a bit till the market calms down before I start transferring anything

No just buy EOS with Eth directly from the ICO using Metamask, I always buy at the last minute but it's a gamble... Lately it paid off and bought for 1.6Eth around $8, I think Sundays are good but check the prices for each day on eos.io sold some of this EOS for $17 on BitShares and the rest for BTS but had I waited and sold for a little less but bought BTS when it was $.30-$.23 cents... I would have made a 8x profit or something in 1 week. And don't wait buy the dip.

I dont have too much eth in spare hahaha.. just a simple nurse in the beginning of her crypto days. So have to use what I have. Are you happy with metamask? Opinions also differ on that.

Sundays yeah? Is the price in general lower then yeah?

I made those in right here! Bought from Steem and SBD since the price was so nice and had put it into Bitcoin before the Xmas hights... but Bitcoin was going nowhere so I put it into EOS and voila.

Happy with Metamask well I think it is risky to have it in the browser but eos.io recommends it so...

Take a look yourself and see when the what the prices where each day ;)

Very good post @nutela, I really liked it, thanks
@racoo

I like your writing very much, my friend.
