Calling All Australian Steemians To Action: Stop Adani From Destroying The Great Coral Reef

Dr.Lissa Schindler of Australian Marine Conservation Society(AMCS) has sent out a message to all AMCS supporters about a possible start of the coal mining by Adani soon and asked them to contact their PMs by signing a petition.

In her message she states "In media reports today, Adani has said it will announce financial close and begin their project before the end of the year. It looks like a desperate attempt to get the project off the ground before the Federal election, but it also looks real."

"According to media reports, Adani is closer than ever to securing finance and has plans to start digging within months. This comes less than a week after urgent warnings of another severe coral bleaching event this coming summer. Our elected representatives can not sit on the fence any longer. Contact your local MP now demanding they stop Adani's Reef-wrecking project for good."
