Protecting our bio-diversity - a new paradigm

So much has been said and done about protecting our flora and fauna and leaving a liveable environment for our future generations; yet despite all that has been done and said, a giant iceberg drifted off the arctic shelf last week. Much more needs doing; a new initiative that I have been thinking of is that of using crypto currency to power the environment protection measures. How about we generate enough wealth so that we can rescue wildlife and animals that are about to be killed for food, clothing, beauty products etc. by buying these animals from their would be killers? How about we can simply go to one slaughterhouse after another and simply pay off these owners and rescue the animals and plants whose lives their tormentors are about to end for the sake of money? I know it is not easy but if we unite we can create a "peaceable kingdom", where man is in harmony with all other species and we move away from speciesm towards an age of love and tranquility with respect for all that lives.
