The technology to transport the power is called KABEL. There's supposed to be. For surplus solar energy you could use batteries, even if this sounds strange. For wind energy too, by the way! I have thought about another storage of the energy of wind and sun. I don't know if it already exists, but I haven't found anything in the direction yet, would be to run compressors with the electricity and then store compressed air, which could then generate electricity again, or drive directly (car) motors. The advantage would be immediate use when needed. The disadvantage is probably the efficiency. But hey, some shrinkage is always ; -)
