The solution for plastic pollution in waters ?

Private companies can test plastic catchers on the river Schelde from the Flemish waterways in Belgium.

A system with nets on the bottom of the river 'Schelde' has to catch the plastic, without catching too much fish and hindering ships.

The Dutchman 'Boyan Slat' familiarised the world with the idea of picking up plastic from the ocean.

But since rivers feed the plastic to the open sea it seems a good plan to pick up the plastic there.

The Belgian government agency that manages the Flemish waterways, has now invited private companies to build plastic catchers for the 'Schelde. '
