RE: Increase the price of fuel to solve environmental problem.
Agreed. When gas prices went up to $5 a gallon several years ago—I live in Southern Cali—traffic was decidedly better. Air quality improved. There was a definite correlation, and most people in this area are just too lazy to stop driving around their gas-guzzling vehicles! Personally, I had to be pushed in order to make the switch. I finally donated my car back in December because it was breaking down and constantly requiring expensive fixes. Now I walk, take the subway or bus or do Lyft (the pool option if I'm not running late). Now, this is easier for me because I'm a writer who works from home, BUT I have to say that a lot of other people could probably figure out ways to get around without their vehicles. We have to do something! Cannot take these heatwaves anymore lol. And a bonus—I actually made a FRIEND during an Uber pool! A friend I've hung out with since! A lot can happen when you get out of your car. :-)
LOL. It's good to hear that you got a friend in the circumstance. In my opinion, it's better to have a flexible job to avoid enduring the traffic congestion. In Vietnam, the price of fuel may be a big deal, so I think it works if they increase petrol's price.
