What is Environment?
Air, land, water and all other things around us in where we live are called environment. There are so many abnormal changes in environment such as chemical, physical and biological changes. For these reason our environment has been polluted.
In many ways, our environment is getting polluted in every second. Mills and factories are creating fume and smoke and they pollute air in major cities and towns. Man makes bricks, to melt tar for road construction and to do so many other things. Engines and powerhouses create smoke by burning coal and oil and pollute the air.
Water is an important element of the environment, is also polluted in many ways. Regarding Bangladesh, people pollute water by throwing waste into the canal and river. We use Chemicals, fertilizers and insecticides for growing crops and get mixed with water in rivers, canals and ponds. Poisonous chemicals and waste products of Mills and factories are thrown into rivers, canals and water is polluted. On the other hand unsafe drains and unsanitary latrines are also responsible for pollution of water.
Forests and trees are being cut down on a large scale in Bangladesh. That’s why the ecosystem of the environment is in danger area now. Modern science has given so many things, but today we are anxious about modern waste (E-waste) such as mobile phone and his accessory, battery and other plastic ware.
The government of Bangladesh does not take more effective steps to prevent the pollution. People of every class should come forward to control and prevent this environmental pollution because we need to safe our next generation.
