Back to green festival 11 oktober 2019

in #environment5 years ago (edited)

Hi everybody, I am Susanne de Rooij, project leader of the Back to green festival in The Hague

I am chilling out in Barcelona at this moment, but soon I will turn back to Holland and continue working on the Back to green festival with the National Papua Agency in Holland.

We have a festival where we make the visitors aware of the problems we are facing with neglecting mother earth.

The Papua’s are refugees from West Papua and they faced the terrible truth that they had to leave there own environment to save themeselves from ecocide (people who destroyed their home town: the jungle).

As we know, trees are the longs off the earth so if we don’t put an end to cutting trees we will have no air anymore. So it’s time to change and become aware off what we are doing

Become mindfull and aware off nature, green and Breath!!

You are all welcome to come to the festival!

Hey Susanne! Welcome aboard! For your introductory post use the #introduceyourself tag and you will get a much warmer welcome!
That sounds like a marvelous event you are planning and I wish I lived closer and could attend!
I really feel for the Papua people for I live in the Boreal forest of Saskatchewan, Canada. A large part of the forest around me is part of the forestry lease area which lumber companies have access to. It breaks my heart to see the beautiful forest, which is home to so many, clear cut. I have a little oasis around me but even that cannot survive long if it is cut off from the rest of the forest ecosystem.
How are the Papua doing and where did they flee to when there home was destroyed? Is it another forest home?
I'm looking forward to connecting more with you here (followed you) and in the Mindful Life discord community!
When posting about this you should use the #ecotrain tag for it is right in line with what they support.
They have their question of the week and this week it is "Share a story about a life challenge" find out more at:
