Spacetrain. A subsonic train Powered by hydrogen

Everyone has heard of the hyper loop. But space train? No! I love to let my imagination run wild. And I'm luckily not alone. There is no lack of imagination when it comes to creating a zero-emission society. And it makes sense given the fact renewable energy becomes abundant and cheap.

Origin

The idea is not new. It has it's origin from a French inventor, Jean Bertin who had the idea in the 70s. For us who has read Jules Verne can track it even further back.

Nevertheless, a French startup has brushed the dust of the plan and aim to build it in no less than three years.

Design

Designed on a monorail shaped like a capital T for guidance, floating on a air cushion they aim for close to 720 km/h.

The passenger compartment will be pressurized much like a plane cabin.

The prototype aims at a capacity of 20-40 passengers but aims at up to 130 passengers in a fully operational version.
