Entrepreneurship and its dark side
Entrepreneurship is not an all rosy venture. Just like any other venture, it has its "dark side". Entrepreneurs are generally thought to be the coolest guys in the startup space but rarely does any one talk about the failures, the sad phase of their life and how difficult it to survive at top...or even get to the top for the beginners.
Let me start by saying that the dark side of entrepreneurship isn't a fun place at all. It's a side I'm sure no upcoming entrepreneur likes to be, in fact, NO ONE likes to be on the dark side of anything. But when it comes to Entrepreneurship, you MUST experience the " dark side". At times, the dark side of being an Entrepreneur is too dark to see through. I often see alot of young people talking about starting startups for all the wrong reasons, and I wish I could tell them the dark side of entrepreneurship.
In most cases, during the first few years of being an entrepreneur, you could end up losing friends, family and even money invested.
Let me reveal one secret here. We entrepreneurs do not have the luxury of confiding in 1000 people we meet. For us, the only buddy who can understand what we are going through is another Entrepreneur. It is called The Brotherhood of entrepreneurs. Fine name isn't it?.
The dark side of entrepreneurship is a secret which reveals itself once you become an entrepreneur. Still, entrepreneurs speak of entrepreneurship like it's a rosy venture. This is because it is what entrepreneurs should do. Entrepreneurs paint a rosy picture of entrepreneurship in order to encourage others to follow in the path of entrepreneurship which is the right path.
I am not writing this article to discourage anyone from entrepreneurship but to expose the fact that it is not a rosy venture. It has a dark side which is unavoidable. But in your quest to start a business, you must start with a spirit of positivity and commitment. You know what you want, go get it tiger!

Peeps need to realise that putting "entrepreneur" on their Instagram profile and building a successful business are two completely different things, with two completely different skill sets.
Exactly bro. you got the point. Thanks
Cheers 👍 And respect for shinning light on the subject 👍
It's like looking at a coin. One side is always in the light, one side is always in the dark, and it's always the same coin.
I have failed a lot more times than I have succeeded. It's just a fact of living the life. Every failure provides an opportunity for growth.
Thanks for a sensitive and thought provoking post.
You're welcome....
Here's a good one, but I was eagerly awaiting where you would state the dark side of entrepreneurship.
The dark side of entrepreneurship was stated. I gave an instance of what could happen to an starter...that he may lose his family, friends and even money. Another dark side is the fact that entrepreneurs are can't confide in just anybody about their business problems. They have only their co-entrepreneurs whom I labelled The Brotherhood of entrepreneurs. This is because, only a fellow entrepreneur will understand what you are going through and can therefore prescribe solutions.
Thanks for reading and sharing your thought. I really appreciate...
I love the name.. The brother hood of entrepreneurs . Keep it up!
Thank you very much fellow entrepreneur @brainyblaze ...I appreciate
