I am writing this blog to introduce the startup opportunities to young minds which might help them in future to become an entrepreneur.

I am going to talk a about the Techstars startup initiatives. Techstars is an American seed accelerator, founded in Boulder, Colorado in 2006 by David Cohen, Brad Feld, David Brown, and Jared Polis. Basically Techstars is worldwide network which helps entrepreneur succeed. Techstars helps accelerate startups business success by helping them.
It is powered by google. Techstars is currently running three programs

1. Techstars startup weekend
2. Techstars startup digest
3. Techstars startup week

I recently attended the techstars startup weekend held in Surat, India. It was the best experience of my life that i ever got in such a professional event. I was the winner in that event. It is basically a three day event where you need to pitch the idea and work on that idea for the next 54 hours and make the MVP(minimal viable product).

Event started on friday (26-jan-18) at 5 pm with basic introduction from event organizers and facilitator. There are around 45 participants , out of them 15 pitched their ideas including me. Then we had our casual talks with fellow participants to get to know about each other and to convince them to vote for pitches. All the participants who pitched earlier had given once more chance to get to their audience and then audience vote for the ideas they like and want to work on. Top 7 ideas who got the highest votes are selected , mine was 2nd. We formed our team and we wrapped our first that by that.

Second day, all the teams started their work on their startup idea. We all started with basic solutions for our problems that we were facing. There were fantastic and supporting mentors which were helping us on our idea. Mentors were so supporting that they were going to each and every team and trying their best to solve their respective problems. We didn't sleep that night working on our revenue model, as it is the hardest part of any startup.

Third day started with some refreshing activities to relax as we need to give presentation to judges. We all made our respective presentation which include the MVP, business model, revenue model, scaling, market analysis and target customers analysis.

I think this is one of the best events organized for the budding entrepreneurs by techstars. I think everyone one should go for this event who want to be an entrepreneur in future to get to know about the challenges and environment faced by the entrepreneurs. In startup weekend, in just 54 hours, you will experience the highs, lows, fun, and pressure that make up life at a startup.
