Willy González Cruz, known as Redimi2 (Santo Domingo, June 3, 1979), is a Dominican singer of Christian rap. In the middle of 1999 he began in music together with a group of other young people, among them his brother JG, and decided to create the group Redimi2 Squad, which later would be only Willy, calling himself Redimi2 later. In his songs he reflects his Christian devotion.1 He is the first rapper to launch a Christian rap album in his country.

He has collaborated with Christian singers such as Tercer Cielo, Lucía Parker, Annette Moreno, Danny Berrios, Alex Campos, Christine D'Clario, Jesús Adrián Romero and Ulises, and with rappers and reggaetonists Vico C, Funky, Maso, Ariel Kelly, Romy Ram , Bengie, King Pirin, Alex Zurdo, Triple Seven, Evan Craft, Manny Montes and Barak.2

In 2000, Redimi2 released "Mortal Combination", an album that contains 10 songs, one of the themes with which this album was released was the song called "Mortal Combination". In the song "Knock Out", there is a collaboration of Juan Carlos Rodríguez, vocal leader of Tercer Cielo, interpreting the chorus of the song.

In 2004 he released "Hasta los Teeth", in which there are collaborations of the 3C Christian Dominican rap group. It also contains the theme «5 Microphones» in collaboration with Ariel Kelly. In addition to the successes «What you saw me» and «Let me be born».

In 2006, Redimi2 launched its third production "Revolution". This album has collaborations of Manny Montes, his brother JG, Isabelle Valdez, Claudia Sierra, Raphy Colon, Romy Ram and J Cantoral. From this disc, the song "Yo No Canto Trash" is released, in which he criticizes non-Christian reggaetoneros for "corrupting the youth".

Months later, Willy gathered other Christian singers to create a production called The Invincible Team, in which they participate: Manny Montes, Goyo, Bengie, Rey Pirin, Romy Ram, Jonny L, his wife Daliza, JG, Maso, Alex Zurdo , Helton DJ and Triple Seven.

In December 2007, Redimi2 made a concert in his country, from which he would release his fifth production "Vivo: El Concierto": in which he consists of his best hits including 6 unreleased tracks and from which his first DVD came off.3

On September 29, 2009, Redimi2 launched "Phenomenon Edition" on the market, with the participation of: Maso, Iván and AB, Daliza and Juan Carlos Rodríguez.

In 2011, Redimi2 through a video on YouTube, gives the information that his sixth studio album "Exterminador" would be divided into 3 productions.2 In July he released the first production called "Exterminador Operación PR", dedicated to Puerto Rico, in which participated: Annette Moreno, Lucía Parker, Vico C, Cecilio Ramírez, Manny Montes, Sugar, Goyo, Alexander Zurdo, Michael Pratts, Maso and Danny Berrios.4

In May of 2012 Redimi2 would simultaneously release two discs: Exterminador OPR 100x35, a special edition of the disc Exterminador Operación PR that includes 8 unreleased tracks; and Exterminator Operation RD, a disc dedicated to the Dominican Republic.5

In 2013, he released his new album Más, along with the singer Funky. In that same year he has a short appearance in the Puerto Rican film "Reggaetón The Movie".

In 2014 he released the album: "Operación mundial". From this album comes The Name of Jesus with Christine D'Clario.

In April of 2017 he released the album "Pura Sal" with collaborations of the Puerto Rican rappers: Funky and Alex Zurdo, groups like: Miel San Marcos and Barak and singers like his wife Daliza Cont, Christine D'Clario, Julio Melgar, Agustín Ramos, Ulises from Rescate and Evan Craft, among others.
