Local boy (from the greater Phoenix area) decided he was going to ask his Hollywood crush to Prom using some technology and a whole lot of style.

Jacob Staudenmaier of Arcadia High School decided he was going to recreate the opening scene from the film "La La Land" with the help of his friends and classmates to ask Emma to the Prom.

It was a great choice of films to recreate for several reasons. For one it was from the movie that Emma Stone recently won an Oscar (her only Oscar up to this point), and two the guy does kinda sorta look a little like Ryan Gosling.

(He has been told he looks like a young Gosling from his "Remember the Titans" film.)  

This Proposal was done several days ago, but what makes it breaking news today is that Emma Stone has now responded with a letter to Jacob!

Here's what she had to say:

"JACOB, thanks for making the greatest proposal I've ever received. I can't tell you what an honor that was and how much I smiled through that entire beautifully orchestrated video. I'm in London working, but I hope you have the best time at prom, and I'm grateful you thought of me. THANK YOU. P.S. I do see Gosling around the eyes. Love, Emma." 

Jacob Staudenmaier was invited on Good Morning America this morning where he read the letter to the world that he had received from Emma Stone. 

He has been a big fan of Emma's for several years now and has seen the "La La Land" film 3 times. He is hoping to be a film maker himself one day. 

It would have been great if Emma could have responded in some like form with a clever video, but the fact she responded at all was pretty amazing for this young aspiring film maker.

I am sure this is the jump start his young career needed. Best of luck in the future Jacob and judging by how well his proposal was done I am sure we will be hearing this name again!
