The Boss Baby movie is adapted from Marla Frazee's pictorial bbook that was release in 2010. The story begins with Tim Templeton, a 7-year-old boy who feels his life is perfect. As an only child, Tim is loved by his parents, Ted and Janice. He is happy to play exciting adventures with mom and dad. He also lives happily with his parents.
However, everything changed when the arrival of new members in his family. A cute and adorable baby boy named Theodore aka Boss Baby. His young baby brother's, whom Tim says is not funny and adorable it makes his father and his mom so busy for taking care of the baby. So they are not time to play and tell stories to Tim. The presence of Baby Boss made Tim's life turn 180 degrees.
It's told that Theodore aka Baby Boss was born from a Baby Corp company where the company 'produces' a baby (like a product) and divides the baby into two classes. The first group is the FAMILY where these babies will become ordinary babies who grow up properly with both parents. While the second category is MANAGEMENT where these babies will become workers at Baby Corp and have their respective duties like office workers.
One night, Tim found a fact that Baby Boss wasn't an ordinary baby. In addition he can talk like an adult, and it turns out Boss Baby is a secret agent of a baby company called Baby Corp. Baby Corp has a special mission to safeguard the baby's survival due to the threat of Puppy Cop, a pet company where Tim's parents work. Puppy Cop has a special mission to make people love puppies more than babies.
Baby Boss had a special mission and if Tim did not want to lose his parents, Tim had to help the baby in running his plan to stop the wicked plan of replacing babies in the world with the super cute puppies, planned by Francis E. Francis Director of the Puppycop company (formerly Boss Baby who felt betrayed by Baby Corp).
Although getting a rating that is not so satisfactory from the film critics, in fact the film The Boss Baby was able to occupy the first rank Box Office in its premiere week. The fascinating part of the film is when Tim and Baby Boss try to work together, their relationship unknowingly begins to wove nicely. when something fights happen, Baby Boss will succumb (this is because Boss Baby is more mature than Tim, just his appearance is still a baby). There's a nice little bond that's growing between them, as brothers, even if they do not want to admit it.
Moral Message
Behind a childish joke, there is a positive message that can be brought home by a children's audience. This adventure comedy animation explores the fears experienced by every child when they know they will have siblings. Whether later mom and dad not going to attention anymore? whether their Love and Compassion will move on to a new child are more cute?. This is a subject that is very close and appreciated by the Kids, a lightly told positive message that will teach them how to respond to the jealousy of the younger brother or siblings.
