To back into something means to enter a parking space in reverse.
Example sentences:
- I prefer to back my car into the garage. When I come home, I'm not in a hurry but I usually am in the morning.
- I backed my car into the parking space.
I backed into someone at the pub last night and I spilled his pint. (True story)

Yeah most people stand in pubs in Ireland and it happens a lot. It is a very common used saying here . 😀
