WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE VAGINA

Popularly, the term vagina is used to refer to the female sexual organs.

3.-The vagina is the muscular channel that leads to the cervix and the uterus, where menstrual bleeding is released, penetration occurs and the baby passes at the time of delivery.

4.-“Vagina” is a word that comes from the Latin “Vaina”. The scabbard is the sheath that covers the edge of the sword.

5.-The German anatomist Johann Veslig (seventeenth century) used the word "vagina" for the first time in 1641-in his work Syntagma Anatomicum.

6.-The vagina measures approximately 8-10 centimeters and its width, distended, is about 4-6 centimeters in diameter. It can expand up to 200% during intercourse.

7.-It is responsible for lubrication and the possibility of penetration.

8.-The choice of underwear can increase the likelihood of getting vaginal infections. Silk and velvet fabrics can retain moisture, it is best to choose breathable fabrics such as cotton to keep the skin dry and fresh.

9.-The pH of the vagina is acid, therefore excess hygiene is bad for the vagina. It is best to avoid perfumed soaps, gels and antiseptics, as they can affect the healthy balance of bacteria and pH levels.

11.-Having orgasms usually reduces stress and anxiety because it increases estrogen (female hormone) and oxytocin is released, and the production of cortisol (stress hormone) is reduced.
