The names of the story.//A little bit of the history of Mahatma Gandhi
At the beginning of last century, at a time when discrimination and social inequalities were commonplace, Gandhi emerged with his doctrine of non-violence as a strategy to confront the problem of racial discrimination existing in India, which was under the Dominion of the British Empire. This man, of short stature and slender, rejected all kinds of armed struggle or aggression.
Ghandhi was born on October 2, 1869 in Porbandar, a coastal town in India. It is known by the name of Mahatma, a word that means "great soul ".
I organize marches with thousands of his countrymen to demand the equality and freedom of his people. He was arrested many times and strove to integrate the lower castes (the Sudra or workers, the pariahs or Interwires and the Mlechas or barbarians), rejected the religious conflicts that arose after the independence of India.
Mahatma Gandhi was killed by a fanatical Indian fundamentalism on January 30, 1948 at the age of 78 years. His ashes were thrown into the river Ganges, following the custom of his people. The day he was murdered he prayed for strength, cunning and more faith for him and his people.
Mahatma Gandhi demonstrated, with his attitude and model of life, that perseverance, non-violence and love are very special ways of dealing with everyday difficulties.
All the acts of Mahatma Gandhi have led us to a better world, with all his effort, struggle and faith he could have the courage to say "NO " to the abuse and inequality that his people lived, and although today racism and violence are not over , Mahatma Gandhi's story inspires thousands of people to do campaigns, projects, talks or awareness.
For many he is a hero, he made himself see, he made noise to listen to him and achieve it. We must end the rejection and violence, we must follow the example that has left us Gandhi.
