Is design an art? Abstract
The debate, although I think that for many is very clear, is still open. Are we artists?
Whether or not we are artists, we must admit that design, in any of its branches, can be an artistic expression, depending on the approach one gives, therefore, it is true that a designer can be an artist, although not all .
The similarities and differences between art and design are very varied and I explain why:
-We work with shapes and colors.
- You can see, frequently, exhibitions of designers.
-There are those who consider art as a talent and design as a skill.
-The art is born in prehistory and design in the Renaissance.
I say again that I think the difference is clear and it is very visible, although there are people who still have their doubts between how different one thing is and another.
It is not bad for some designers to feel artists, but I think that a client will not be for the task of dealing with someone who justifies their actions in such a resounding way as art itself usually does.
(DESIGNERS AND ARTISTS HAVE MANY THINGS IN COMMON. TOO MUCH YOU COULD THINK, BUT I LET THE DEBATE OPEN. IS DESIGN AN ART?)
