English city receives its first ATM Bitcoin

Each day 2.3 ATM Bitcoin ATMs are added to the network and increasingly used by more people.

Birmingham has become the last city in the UK to receive its first ATM ( Bitcoin ATM) .

BCB ATM, one of the fastest-growing Bitcoin ATM operators in the UK, installed the new machine at Lifestyle Store on Flaxley Road Stechford. The independent operator has already supplied nine Bitcoin ATMsto stores in England, almost all in London, but plans to expand its units nationwide.

Landry Ntahe, chief operating officer of BCB ATM , said the machines are often used 30 to 40 times a day. He added that about 25 percent of people using the machines are new customers, so retailers can expect an increase in the number of people using them. He said:

We are very happy to install our first Bitcoin ATM in Birminham, especially since it is a region where we have seen more and more people using Bitcoins. "

Recently, the value of Bitcoin has increased as the demand for the digital currency grows. This can be seen by the greater interest of the Japanese and Chinese investors who have joined the adherents to Bitcoin.

Ntahe explains that with the additional demand comes the increase in growth, which can be seen in the UK.

In the last year we have seen a rapid growth in the use of our machines and the high demand for automatic ATM placements. This tells us that the adoption rate of Bitcoin use is increasing and where there is more demand, the value will increase.

Compared to the industry standard rate of 7.5%, BCB ATMs charge 5% on transactions.

Bitcoin ATM around the world

According to Coin ATM Radar , there are 1,230 Bitcoin ATMs in 57 countries .

Of these, the United States has the majority: 825 machines and tellers in the country. In the UK there are 68 and almost all are within the popular M25, which runs through London and Greater London. Last year, Edinburgh hosted its first Bitcoin ATM , which was provided by Alphavend.

With almost 2.3 new Bitcoin ATMs installed every day around the world, it is clear that with increasing demand for the digital currency, the demand for the machines will also continue to increase.
