Types of bachata dance
As we have seen in the post previously published, bachata comes from the Dominican Republic and is danced in 8 times. Let's see the types of dance of this style.
- Dominican Bachata: As its name indicates its origin comes from the Dominican Republic, its main characteristics are the movements of feet and hips.
Here you have a video to see what the Dominican style is like, if you notice it has a lot of foot movement, let's say that is its great difference to the rest of other bachata styles.
- Sensual Bachata: its main movement is with the body, through this is how sensuality is shown. In this style many waves are made with the body, it is much body movement and arms, is also characterized by dancing near the couple

These are the two types of dance currently more known within Bachata and are the ones that are most danced both academically and socially.
