The term hikikomori written in Japanese as (ひ き こ も り or 引 き 篭 り) literally acute social isolation.
It is a Japanese term that refers to whose people have abandoned their social life totally isolated from society, often seeking great extremes of isolation and confinement. The cause of this may vary but the most common is extreme shyness and social phobia.
Normally they live in a room, in their parents' house and living with junk food at the expense of their parents, the most usual thing is that they only communicate with the outside through their computer or video games, however there have been extreme cases in which they spend hours without doing any activity.
