Slash, the fleeting cat of my daughter. Ode to a cat.
My daugther wanted a cat
and when I say "she wanted" I mean, she desperately wanted one
Her aunt Dominga happen to have many cats
and when I say "many cats" I mean, she still has a lot of cats
much to my regret, she gave one to her
She named him Slash
He had big blue eyes, he was funny and playful
he was even like a clown, because he made me laugh
he had a sandbox, but he preferred the house plants
My daughter used to stop what she was doing to feed her little cat
she spoke to him, she photographed him, she laughed, they played, included my other two daughters
and Slash, that never got tired, gladly accepted his new life
that used to include my house plants
Suddenly Slash started to change, he was more independent
he wanted to go out and impose his own rules; her owner rebuked him and he didn't come to his senses
he no longer wanted to be in her arms, but he was still the funniest and amusing cat
even with my house plants
My nephew was driving a 4x4 through the streets of Caracas,
in a traffic light of "La Candelaria", a motorcycle stopped next to him;
scared, he lowered the car window expecting the worst... A robbery
and the motorcycle driver said: "Dude... What engine is that that sounds like a cat?"
Then, everything happened like this: he stopped the car, openned the hood and my daughter's beloved cat
literally flew away, just thinking about getting away from the engine.
Huge tears came out from my daughters's beautiful eyes at nights,
and in the mornings, I whistling changed the plants's soil
My daughter still wants a cat, with Slash she has had three.
Maybe one day I'll write about the other two, who have run with different endings.
If someone sees Slash at "La Candelaria", send my regards
and tell him that maybe my plants don't miss him.

Resteem and have fun
A cat almost never meows at another cat, mostly just humans. Cats typically will spit, purr, and hiss at other cats.
Hahaha... very interesting.
Cats spend nearly 1/3 of their waking hours cleaning themselves.
Hahaha savage.
Siiii.... El tigre de Vista Alegre. jajaja.
(Poor Slash.)
The transition from fun and amusing to tragic to almost sarcastic ("...send my regards.") is cool and provides an interesting tale tone to your poem. Thanks for sharing.
your comment makes me think that i acomplished my goal when i wrote it.

Approximately 40,000 people are bitten by cats in the U.S. annually.
