”RICE HUSK GASIFIER STOVE a good replacement or alternative to LPG Stoves”

Through the past decades people are trying to find ways that will still make the waste materials put into use. The never ending search and curiosity of human, most of the times resulted into out of this world inventions and created useful discoveries that we are benefitting from. Sometimes homesteading, living in farm and far from the hassle and buzzle city life for a period of time will give us time to see what God has blessed us with so many resources. And suddenly we experience, unexpected thought or ideas that will lead us to greatest inventions of our generation. Mankind is really thriving to craft alternative materials that will be much efficient and economical. This thought that made Engr. Belonio to design and invent the Rice Husk TLUD Gasifier [with force air]. A stove that can produce fire through burning the rice husk or hull, this rice husk then serves like an ordinary Liquified Petroleum Gas but less costly.

Actually there’s a lot of uses for rice husk it can be used as fertilizer and many farmers or simply gardeners have benefitted from using this to grow their plants healthier. We thought that the rice itself is the only good thing the whole structure of it we never thought that it has many purpose and more than we can count of. According to what I’ve research on Wikipedia:

This can also be used as toothpaste, the charcoal from the ricehull in India were widely used for over ten decades for cleaning teeth, before the ones we are using today.

You might think it is hard to imagine how can this be used as toothpaste but charcoals really helped a lot in cleaning teeth. Prior to what I said earlier, although this can be used as a fertilizer its effectiveness can be felt by the plants after 4 months. But it is useful to farmers because it can act as water limitator or capacitor because it quickly and largely absorbs liquid. There are several more functions of rice husk but let us move on to the main topic of this article.

How does it work?

Apparently the rice husk or rice hull can serve as the same purpose of fuel gasolines, but direct combusting the rice husks can lead to producing large smokes but with the proper techniques it can still be done by using gastification method. And according to the reference I have read this is a method or process that converts organic materials to carbon dioxide and monoxide and hydrogen as well. This can be only achieved through controlling to an intense temperature to more than 700 degree celsius but limitting the amount of oxygen to prevent combustion. Then the result of this mixture is called syngas which is also a fuel itself. So to simplify it or in layman's term there is a certain amount of air and temperature for burning rice husks for it to become usable just like fuel. So achieving this kind of result really takes a lot of trial and error to perfect the right amount and temperature just like achieving the best taste of brewing a coffee bean.

Why it is a good replacement to LPG Stoves.

Let me give you my own idea on this part why it is a good replacement or alternative to Liquified Petroleum Gas. I have some point of emphasis to share about on this topic and we can understand it more by comparing some characteristics that Rice Husk Gasifier(RHG) Stove and LPG stoves. In this article ofcourse I would become bias as I will try to defend the advantages of RHG Stove. First thing is that we experienced before energy shortage because of fuel shortage as well I think not sure though lol. Oh okay erase that the first advantage of RHG is that it cost less than half the consume rate of LPG and if you count the days in a year you can really save alot of money compared to using LPG. Another thing is that if you count in the safety youll get from the rice husk gasifier to liquified petroleum gas is you can safely say that it wont do any harm because it wont explode and that is the disadvantage we get from LPG. The last thing is that rice husk can be easily reproduce specially here in tropical countries wheres theres alot of farmland.
