Planning and Estimates: Plotting Floorplan with Elevations

Last week we were told to draw and plan our own house for our planning and estimates subject. The drawing includes plotting the floorplan and elevations (front, rear, left, and right view) of the house with dimensions and scales.

Planning and Estimates is a subject introduced to engineering students especially Civil Engineering to directly conceptualize planning, budgeting, computing, financing and estimating construction materials, the necessary things needed and the allocated budget and time for a specific project.

Those are the expected output needed for our activity however, the other parts such as roof plan and column and beam structures maybe the next activity be given by our instructor. The output will be recycle for the next activity and that would be estimating how much volume of sand and gravel and number of hollow blocks needed for the house so, stay tuned guys.

This activity aims to enhance our skills in plotting and planning our dream house and the allocated materials necessary for constructing a house and also to meet the expected deadlines of a specific project.
