Do you know how many labor and materials are needed to make sloof?

in #engineering6 years ago (edited)
Greetings, how are you? Hopefully keep the spirit. After yesterday I discussed about how many workers and materials are needed on the foundation work of the mountain rocks, so today we will try to continue on the next job.

In accordance with the understanding of the work of simple building structures and tracing in the field work process so today I will discuss about the calculation of labor and material needs on the work of reinforced concrete sloof.

Sloof is a building structure that is on the foundation, because the position of sloof located on the ground floor then the existence of sloof rarely seen.

There are three types of sloof are often used, namely sloof of reinforced concrete, sloof of brick and sloof of wood.

Sloof serves as a bearer of the building load and passes the load to the foundation, as a column binder, as a wall load divider, wall load retention and as a barrier of ground reaction forces.

We try to plan a sloof with length of 8.00 m with a cross section of 0.15 m x 0.20 m.
Sloof is using plain concrete iron with the following specifications:

DescriptionInformation
Reinforcement4 Ø12 (Read 4 bar plates of plain concrete iron with a diameter of 12 mm)
Beugel / stirrupØ6 - 150 (Read Beugel diameter of 6 mm with a distance of 0.15 m)

The technical drawings below can explain our description above.

Sloof image with cross sectional 0.15 x 0.20 m. images using the AutoCAD app

Volume Calculation

In reinforced concrete work there are 3 aspects that we must count, that is
1 Concrete (we will use concrete type K - 225)
2 Spawning
3 Formwork

A. Concrete calculation (m3)

Is known.

DescriptionInformation
Length8.00 m
Width0.15 m
Height0.20 m

Resolutions:
Length x width x height
8.00 x 0.15 x 0.20 = 0.24 m3
So the total volume of concrete is 0.24 m3

B. Calculation of enlargement (Kg)

Main Reinforcement :
Is known :

DescriptionInformation
Plain concrete iron coefficient0.00616225 * D93 ^ 2
Iron reinforcement length8.10 (8.00 plus iron bending each end 5 cm)
The amount of reinforcement4 bars
Iron DiameterØ12

Answer:

DescriptionInformation
Iron coefficient x Diameter of ironKg / m
(0.00616225 * D93 ^ 2) x 120.887364 Kg / m
(Iron Length x Amount) x Kg / mKg
(8.10 x 4) x 0.88736428.7505936 Kg (32.40 m)

Beugel / brace :
Is known :

DescriptionInformation
Plain concrete iron coefficient0.00616225 * D93 ^ 2
The length of the steel reinforcement0.56 m ((width of sloof - concrete blanket (0.06) + High sloof - concrete blanket (0,06)) x 2)
Iron count54 units (Sloof Length / Beugel Distance + 1)
Iron DiameterØ6

Answer:

DescriptionInformation
Iron coefficient x Diameter of ironKg / m
(0.00616225 * D93 ^ 2) x 60.221841 Kg / m
(Iron Length x Amount) x Kg / mKg
(0.56 x 54) x 0.2218416.70847184 Kg (30.24 m)

Then the total iron is (reinforcement iron+brace iron ) = Kg
28.7505936 + 6.70847184 = 35.45906544 Kg

C. Working formwork (m2)

In sloof work we only use the formwork on the left and right side only, the bottom side has been closed by the foundation of mountain rock so it does not need to be reckoned again.
Is known :

DescriptionInformation
Sloof Length8, 00 m
High Sloof0.22 (Co Co ctnsient 2 cm)
Side used2 sides
Used as many as4 times

Answer:
(Length x height x side) / use formwork = m2
(8.00 x 0.22 x 2) / 4 = 0.88 m2

Total volume

DescriptionInformation
Concrete (K-225)0.24 m3
Iron Concrete35,45906544 Kg (rounded 35.45 kg)
Formwork0.88 m2

CALCULATION OF LABOR AND MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS

I use coefficients according to Indonesian National Standard

Ordinary nail0.3000 Kg x 0.88 m20.0396 m3
Oil Formwork0,1000 Liter x 0,88 m20.088 Liter

CONCLUSION

To complete the work of reinforced concrete sloof with length of 8.00 m, height of 0.20 m and width of 0.15 m using the main reinforcement 4 bars Ø12 and beugel/brace Ø6 distance of 0.15 m require.

DescriptionAmount
Worker1.101750 People
Stonemason / Carpenter / Blacksmith0.542950 People
Foreman0.054415 People
Overseer0.056980 People
Portland Cement89.04 Kg
Concrete Sand167.52 Kg
Gravel251.28 Kg
Water51.6 Liter
Plain Concrete Iron37.2225 Kg
Concrete Wire0.53175 Kg
Wood Klass III0.0396 m3
Ordinary nail0.0396 m3
Oil Formwork0.088 Liter

Thus the technical calculation of the needs of workers and materials on the work of Sloof reinforced concrete Size 0.15 x 0.20 x 8.00 m.
After the analysis of this calculation is completed then we can estimate how and what is needed during the work period and hopefully this calculation analysis is useful for young engineers and those working in the field of construction.

Unfinished sloof casting photos can still be found in reinforcing steel and formwork flanking the right and left sloof. the photos I ( @kharrazi )took using a pocket camera

This is all I can write on this occasion, for all the lack of writing and as a servant of God I apologize.

Hi @kharrazi, you fail to create the table in your post, please check it again, and fix it.
Nice post. Please visit my blog,

which table should I fix? thank you before.

This is my Android view from eSteem app there is error to show table.
image
but, from browser its look good.

You need to check it from your eSteem app android or ios. You need to saparate paragraph, better to create using html coding.

ok, it's time good-karma up date esteem application and i have not app esteem in my phone. it seems i should learn html coding with you :)
