Well, I'm proud of you for having an idea of how things should look, and then sticking to that. It isn't easy to be principled, but it's better than being disappointed in yourself for doing things you believed you shouldn't do.

RE your wife
Some people aren't going to get it. There are a lot of things nowadays that I don't get either. The world is moving very quickly and you have to move even ahead of the early adopters if you want to make huge gains. It's tough, but some can do it. Others who are more like me will get some gain, but nowhere near the astronomical gains of the first people in.

Hopefully your wife can tolerate Steem long enough that you don't have to sell at a loss. I think it will go back up eventually. And then you'll have even more stake weight to throw around!
