Energy Efficiency Measures Part 1

in #energy7 years ago

Building renovation and new construction can be very expensive. With the improvement in technology in HVAC equipment and building materials the payback period of investing in energy efficient measurements is the smart choice in Energy Engineering. Modeling buildings in energy simulation programs such as Trace 700 allows Energy Engineers to compare Energy Efficiency Measures (EEM). With the information gathered from this data, cost-effective means can be evaluated. EEMs are used to evaluate variables in building and can help associate the trade-offs between cost versus savings. I will be writing a few posts on EEM topics and what I learn as I go!

This image reminds me of those architectural drawings/models used for communicating new concepts and ideas before they are built

I think it's a render, used in proposal. Is this a design-build project?

I think you are right, its definitely a model design for a building....really interesting to see these designs for buildings....

This is one of the buildings I will be analysing :)

Wow, that's amazing. Will this building be built in the future or is it an existing building that will be renovated/improved? It says Stadium Square on the side of the image.....Architecture/Building design is so cool :)

So true, look forward to reading more
