Energía eléctrica autosustentable en Nueva Esparta (ES/EN)

Más de mil millones de dolares han sido invertidos en el sistema eléctrico del estado lo que representaba en proyecto más de 900 mwa, en la actualidad nuestro consumo funcionando todo esta entre 300 mwa y 350 mwa, es decir, pudimos haber generado el doble de la energía necesaria si los proyectos se hubiesen ejecutado y tener un margen cómodo. hoy por hoy no hay solución al suministro de energía eléctrica en la isla.

Desde el Colegio de Ingenieros hemos emplazado a quienes gobiernan a tomar decisiones tangibles para recuperar el sistema eléctrico:

Invertir en optimizar la generación, transmisión y distribución en el estado y entrar en la autosostenibilidad;

Adquirir generadores termoeléctricos nuevos, que funcionen de forma dual con gas y gasoil.

Hay que adecuar las centrales de Chacopata y Margarita para que el cable nuevo se adecue 230 kw y funcione a plenitud así justificar la inversión.

Además establecer de políticas públicas que eduquen a la ciudadanía el uso de la electricidad e ir pensando en la energía solar como alternativa, así como la culminación del parque eólico de Península de Macanao.
