Be yourself!

Life is too short to live someone else's life. It's too short to live it trying to please other people or trying to get accepted. God made you. He knew just how smart, how tall/short, how passionate/calculate you were going to be and He accepted you in the Beloved from the foundation of the world.

Don't be afraid to be that splash of color when everything seems dull around you. To laugh out loud when people just smile, to be a plus size when everyone's ideal of perfection is skinny, to speak your mind, to stand when everybody sits. You are created to make a difference, to leave a print!

People might want you to change because they don't understand just how complex and wonderfully and uniquely made you are. There are no two people perfectly alike on this planet. God is too inventive for that. We are not the result of a serial production, but uniquely and wonderfully designed and created. We are handmade by our Father. And that's scary for some people. Because if they can't read you, they will try to diminish and minimalize your uniqueness.

But that's OK. Words spoken about or against you say more about the people who pronounce them than about you. You just remember that you have a God, a Father, who dreamed about you, who created you because He wanted you. You bring a plus to this world. This world needed someone just like you in it.

Forget what people say and think. Just ask your Father to reveal to you just how important and loved you are! Then go out there and be you! The silly, funny you! The loudmouth you! The smart and quiet you! The kind-hearted, loving you! Just be who your Father created you to be and enjoy life! You don't have to change to be accepted. The right people will stick around.
