The Advantages of the Hans Jonas Ethics
Jonas prioritizes responsibility towards nature. Nature in question is not only directly responsible to other people but the preservation of the human species so that it includes responsibility for the future of what we are doing at the moment. This sustainability is strongly influenced by factors such as environmental quality, health. Besides being responsible, as explained in the initial chapter, there are several thoughts by Hans Jonas related to ethics and each of these thoughts has its advantages. Hans Jonas' contribution also plays a very important role and can be applied in the fields of agriculture, architecture, and fuels which are environmentally friendly. From this, we as humans do have freedom, but on the other hand, we also have responsibilities that must be carried out so that we can truly apply these ethics in our lives. As one example, we as someone who works in the fashion industry must have the freedom to choose the materials we will use to make clothes, but before that we must also know the benefits and harms we give to nature. For example, in the use of color in fabrics, we must also be responsible for processing the factory waste that we produce so that the disposal results can be processed or removed with minimized risks.
Freedom is an emotion and a desire that exists within a person. Humans can be categorized as liberal beings towards themselves but are also created with all their limitations. It is indeed undeniable to choose how his life will be lived by the man himself. One of them will determine their future.
Awareness is an important aspect that must be very, very understood, because in our lives as human beings we may be free but accompanied by responsibilities that must be carried out to minimize the risks that will occur.
